Julie was born in Opelousas, Louisiana, to parents completely perplexed that their baby girl's first word was "horse".   Later, she married Matt Dillon and settled in Oklahoma.  After years of owning many breeds of horses and teaching western seat, she bought her first Tennessee Walking Horse.   In 1999, HorseFeathers Academy was established and Julie began teaching adults new to gaited horses.  Holding certifications with CHA as well as TWHBEA, Julie works with those wanting to learn all aspects of horsemanship as well as camping and riding with their horses.

Whether it is a ride on the beach, fox hunt, field trial or Dressage ring, Julie teaches each of her students with respect to their own needs, goals and dreams.  Now located in New England, Julie and her horses appear each year at Equine Affaire in Springfield, Massachusetts to promote the Tennessee Walking Horse as well as the Missouri Foxtrotter.  In 2007, HorseFeathers Academy established the first Open Dressage Competition for Gaited Horses in New England where gaited horses of all breeds are welcome to compete in the art of Dressage.

Molly has been riding and enjoying horses for 11 years. She has enjoyed an active 4-H career, earning top national rankings in Quiz Bowl and Hippology, horse knowledge and judging competitions competing for the State of New Hampshire. Molly enjoys volunteering and is a recipient of the Optimist club Youth of the Year Award, 2 Presidential Silver Service Awards, and also the Spirit of New Hampshire Volunteer of the Year Award.

Molly has been working at Horsefeathers Riding Academy for 4 years, and loves each of the horses as her own. Molly feels very fortunate to be able to work with Julie Dillon and is really excited about all the new directions Horsefeathers is headed in! In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing chess, and caring for my many pets, including her quarter horse mare, also named Molly
